Potato spraying

I did an anti-blight spray on my spuds 48 hours ago - and last night it p….d with rain. Does heavy rain wash it all off, and I now have to re-spray (and risk it getting washed off again!) or have the leaves absorbed the mixture in that time? Or do they "absorb" it at all? Ta for advice.

This has happened to me several times with tomatoes, and yes i think you will almost certainty have to respray.
Always best to check the weather forecast before spraying but one can get caught out with unexpected showers and with all this rain and then humid westher we're almost certainly due for for more blight Smith warnings soon. One is caught between a rock and a hard place on this issue I think. I suppose the only way of avoiding having to respray would be to cover your crop with a large sheet of clear polythene for a couple of days to protect the foliage from having the spray washed off.
I'm expecting another blight warning any time now!
