The best bet with Parsnip seeds is to grow your own. From this years crop select one parsnip and transplant it to where it will not be in your way during next season. It will flower in the year you transplant it. One Parsnip will give you more seeds than you could ever imagining growing. Take what you will need and put the rest up for swaps or give aways to friends. When sorting Parsnip seeds you will soon notice which are the live ones as you can see the embryo in the centre of the seed.

General recommendation would be to keep more than one, else you risk reducing the genetic diversity to the point where they cant adapt to survive

Here we have kept a single German Half Long variety of Parsnip plant for seed and have done so for many years and are still getting great results.
You can keep as many as you like but to me one plant is more than sufficient.
