Knowing that we grow our own vegetables, our local coffee shop offered me a bucketful of their used coffee grounds. Now what do I do with them? Sprinkle them on the compost heap? Dig them into ground now?

I would love to if anybody has used coffee grounds and how!

Only use them round my hostas to try and deter the slugs but keep meaning to talk to my local hairdressers to ask for their floor hair sweepings as these are supposed to be a good deterrent too. Mind you, they will probably think I'm an absolute nutter for asking.
