Standard Gooseberries.

Going to try and grow a standard or half-standard gooseberry.I realise that it will take a few years to grow to the required height and this is the preferred method of growing Gooseberries in the Northern part of country as it is the easiest way of picking the fruit,according to my son who lives in Preston.Should be interesting and I will have to keep my impatience in check!
