Hi everyone

Not entirely sure what to do about this but just thought I would share a funny problem I have come across. To my surprise, my Giant Pumpkin is happy growing in my Acer. (see photo) Luckily Pumpkin no 2 is being normal and on the ground.

Nature is funny, isn't it?

Excellent picture, Deb…..I think the problem will be, the weight of the pumpkin snapping the Acer’s branches….I think I would try and get the pumpkin out of the Acer, unless you can think of an ingenious way of supporting it! :)
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

I agree but for the life of me, I can't think how! I will go out again today to have another look at it. Wish me luck!

I try to get my squash to climb - but up sticks not into trees!

Maybe a net tied to various branches to support the weight evenly in the tree?

I was looking for somewhere to stay and forgot to specify the location. The first suggested place was a "magic pumpkin". LOL!

Sorry it's a long link but it does still seem to work.

Maybe you could rent out your pumpkin on Airbnb?

Amusing picture. As Oah suggests. acer branches can be quite fragile and as your pumpkin grows in weight it,s very likely to snap the twigs unfortunately . You may have to choose between the acer branches and the pumping. Do you have any old tights it could be supported in ?
