We love French Tarragon but have never successfully grown it, despite several attempts. We don't have a greenhouse apart from a plastic zip up one. Any suggestions ?

We grow ours year round in a tub in the polytunnel, it dies down completely in the Winter but is already growing well. I would think if you could protect it in a shed or garage once it has died down you could get it to survive the Winter to grow outside. Protecting it at this time of year when it starts back into growth might be the tricky bit. Cuttings root easily so I suppose over wintering new small plants then potting up the tub fresh in the Spring might work.
