Well at least they got the priorities right with the gin !!

I,ve run very low on fresh lettuce from the garden now so am bulking salads up with few young leaves pinched from seeding Swiss chard plants, a clump of sorrel and young blackcurrant leaves. Am giving the nettle leaves a miss though :lol:

It's definitely a lot of corn, and some more will be planted next to it for a later harvest. How do you all grow your corn this year?

They look very advanced Elmigo. . Mine haven,t even germinated yet!
It's difficult to guess the distance between them. Are you going to underplant them with any small crops like lettuce or rocket etc.

The local farmer adviced 6-8 inches between the corn plants, and as I'm growing in a small space I did 6. Perhaps I should grow corn salad inbetween! I don't know, this seems like a good match :lol:

Only three of mine came up, and as I only have containers to grow in this year, that's probably just right. I am growing them in a large blue crate, with a few calendula for company.
