Hi All, I need some advice please on what to do with the onion seedlings I have grown? They are about 4inches long now & I am wondering wether to plant them in my Polytunnel? I already have setts in there, Thanks

Normally I would wait with onion planting outside untill march at earliest, but in the polytunnel perhaps it could be done already. No experience with polytunnels here so I don't know the exact temperature differences.

You cud plant them in your polytunnel Connie or alternatively pot them on into individual small pots or large cells and grow them on. Harden them off before planting outside in March as Elmigo says or if the weather is still poor hang on for a little longer until it improves. If planting outside choose a sunny, sheltered spot in reasonably fertile, well drained soil.
