I have several early( New) spuds which have been chitted for a couple of months but they have turned very green, they have nice "sprouts" on them. Question is IS IT DANGEROUS TO PLANT GREEN POTATOES? and will the "offsprings" be safe to eat?

Green spuds are absolutely OK to plant. They go that way because they are in the light to 'chit'. The potatoes from these will be fine as they will not be in the light. Never eat green potatoes.
