I am trying these this year for the first time, but the instructions on the back of the packet only say "allow 24" between plants", it doesn't say how tall they grow?
Am I right in thinking that the plant will roughly grow to the height of the spacing?
Sorry for such a novice question

Not very. They're wider than they are tall, like cauliflowers. In fact in all ways they are like cauliflowers, but green and spikey, and very flavoursome. Very underrated is your Romanesco, in my view.
Allotment, but little achieved.

I was given one of one of these today having avoided them as a bit showy, but it was lovely with a really good flavour. It's on my TO GROW list next year

Good Evening macmac,

You still have time to sow some seeds... the back of the packet says "sow until the end of June"

Thanks donedigging, sowing the seeds isn't the problem, where to grow them is :( we're into "shoehorn" season the minute the OH digs up some spuds etc I'm right behind him with a tray of plants to put in
