I have a small aluminium & plastic cold frame (a cheapie from Lidls) and I've just noticed a number of small holes have appeared in the double-skinned lids. They appear to be random, like some corrosive liquid has been splashed on them, but the holes only penetrate the first layer and there is no sign of residue or staining on the layer underneath. The holes range from about 1/8in to 1/4in, some smooth-edged, some a bit ragged. The frame is about 3 years old and there's no sign of damage anywhere nearby. I'll try and send a pic!
Anyone got any ideas - other than it's volcano ash
Thanks, John N.

Very strange JohnN, it certainly looks like hot ash from somewhere.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.
