I am in the middle of putting up a greenhouse. The frame is up but before I sort out a base I need to decide what to do with a year old four foot high apple tree which is flowering happily in the middle of it. If I attempt to move it now will I kill it ? There is nowhere else in the garden i can put the greenhouse.

Crack on with it forthwith, leave it much longer and it will have big trouble.
Take as much of a root ball as you can, replant promptly and nurture for the rest of the year. :D
Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

Dear HM,
prune the apple as hard as you dare. The less leaves it has to fill with water the better.
