More wild flowers, almost all are from seeds I have sown or are self seeded from previous years

I love this time in the garden with the self sown flowers appearing to take over but the joy of seeing the splash of bright colour, particularly against grey skies is lovely! They don't seem to compete too badly with any of the veg crops either & I'm particularly enjoying the fact the poppies are attracting the black fly off the broad beans - not all, but doing their bit to pay their way & container themselves at the back! Soz in advance if you get neck ache, but haven't a clue which way to rotate - get it wrong every time!

Damn! I was going to rotate right on this shot! I just missed my opportunity to post a proper pic! All the flowers are self sown.

Diane, if you carry the snips with you to plant sales, I would certainly stand back and let you through!

Some of the chillies, this is Hungarian hot wax, not too hot, just nice bit of heat in a soup or curry, I also grow Cayenne. You can see some Alpine strawberries though the glass, my two young grandsons favourites

I have a few peppers & tomatoes (all cucumbers failed to germinate or grow) in the greenhouse at home but the tunnel I am still learning to master. My neighbour told me to shut one of the doors but it is well warm & I don't want to steam the veg & encourage disease so choose not to! And I have fruit on the toms finally & growing faster then the ones in the greenhouse & I think I have wee chilli forming & the sweet potatoes are growing vines, so getting there but not as advanced as your crops!

The epiphytes are starting to flower again, this one's called Grenatum, the bud should be open tonight, at the moment it smells like talcum powder !!

Now fully open, the scent at night is so strong, such an ugly plant with such fabulous flowers.

20cm or 8 inches across, very impressive, we have a few different young plants most of which have flower buds this year, first time flowering on this plant.

I grow my onions from seed these days as I have had a couple of poor results from sets in the past, I have just transplanted some Ailsa Craig into the raised bed, strong looking plants.
