OH - going to be eggstra careful what i say on the forum now. Looking forward to getting my chickens. Cant believe a week ago i was trying to be talked out of it - fat lot of good that was :roll:

Dear Seedling, i know this is being quite selfish on my part but, i don't feel guilty in the least, as it has meant we have had the pleasure of your company on the Forum a lot more and that has to be a good thing. :) :wink:

I had 12 eggs today from 14 chickens, i also had 10 the day before not bad for a beginner. :D :lol:

Hi Seedling, i have 5 light sussex, and the others are from a free range farm, i don't no what sort they are. :oops:

We think the others are Rhode island reds.

they are ISA Brown, also known as Warrens. They are a cross between Rhode Island Red and Rhode Island White and popular with commercial producers for their ability to lay 300 or so eggs in their first year.
