We have discovered a load of red underwing moth wings but no bodies on the floor of our barn. Is something eating them? Is it bats?

sounds like a bird is taking the moths apart on a beam and eating the juicy bits

Hi Jane,
Suspect that the culprits are Bats. I have the same here at times and I have put it down to them but I am interested in other replies.

Dear Jane, i agree it sounds like bats, there are always little heaps of wings in the Church tower, and birds are unable to get in there.
Unless it's mice of course. :? :)
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.
