I had a short trip to the local sea bird nesting colony on the cliffs, a bit early yet and there was no sign of the Puffins yet.

As a photographer myself I understand what makes a good photo. Do you, by chance, happen to be a photographer too? Because these are amazing!

Just an amateur who has some professional gear that helps a lot, thanks for the comments, if you care to look at my flickr site you can see my work, I try to keep it fresh removing some of the older ones when adding new.

I was actually looking for Adders and Slow Worms, but none were to be found, I then heard the Cuckoo and went off on a mission, just couldn't get near to it though.

Within an hour I can be in the Cairngorm National Park, the Otter however was on a Loch on the edge of quite a large town with people walking by with their dogs. Scotland is less densely populated and because of the terrain, a lot of it is not intensively cultivated so some really good wildlife still exists in places. Sadly there are a few rogue estates that have been accused of killing raptors and other predators, but even some of them are slowly becoming more sensitive to wildlife. There is a large amount of agriculture in Angus and parts of Perth and Aberdeenshire, but luckily most of the farmers don't use too many chemicals, muck spreading is still quite common, rather than man made fertilisers.
