A Lesser Redpoll, I'm not a huge fan of birds on feeders, but this was a little cracker.

I do love your photos tigerburnie. They all look as if they were taken from only a few inches away ! The reality is that many of us never get the opportunity to see these close-up details when we spot birds or other wild animals in their natural habitat.

This wasn't too far away, but you have to sit for hours sometimes and may not get a picture you're after.

I've pictures on our plot I've been trying to post for four days no matter what I do they will not transfer but to be honest tiger compared to yours mine are crap

Robo I'm guessing your images are too large, you have to re size them with a processor, some camera software includes this or you can use something like photoshop. I don't like over processed images myself, but if you wish to post images, you need to be able to re-size.

I've tried that Burnie I will have a play around with them when I get time

When you click on to "save" your image, it should offer sizes to save at, I keep mine below 500mb then you can post them pretty much anywhere.

Funnily since I asked for tiger to critique my pics there has been a decided lack of life on the plot or when it was I disturbed it going for the phone to take a pic. As for resizing or even getting something posted right way up is still a big challenge. I really must remember to preview my posts with pics but after mucking around for ages I just get so excited it is downloaded & fits I just press submit.

Maybe, now I have put up some feeders, a few songbirds will visit when I am on the plot. Certainly the food gets eaten (especially the suet block!).

Todays offering, our local Ospreys have returned, it's a pity the female dropped her head just as the male came in with a small Pike.

She obviously recognised the pike and thought "one of them boney things again"
