Wow - that was great! I'm sure there are innumerable benefits to those residents both physically & psychologically! Can't see too many homes down here allowing it - there would be some health & safety issues they would put up to block it!

We do have one wonderful home (& it is social service rates surprisingly) that has a 3 legged dog, another dog (Both belonging to former residents that died), a cat, a parrot & as they have a wee lake in the grounds they have ducks also! They also have loads of activities & they don't get everyone up & the same time - everyone has personal timetables - not 'care plans'. I've made it clear it's where I want to go if I ever have to!
