After many years one of our visiting wild ducks has successfully kept half a dozen ducklings safe from predators. Here they are this morning on a regular visit to our duck feeder.
Cred air o bob deg a glywi, a thi a gei rywfaint bach o wir (hen ddihareb Gymraeg)
Believe one tenth of what you hear, and you will get some little truth (old Welsh proverb)

They are good fun to watch, wouldn't you agree Alan! My Mum had a Mallard with twelve Ducklings, but now has only two left, rather sad.

Oh Alan! How wonderful! Today I saved a seagull at work that fell off the roof - long story but our 'bird' man was a sight covered in droppings from the parents when he came to rescue it! :) (I did only laugh behind his back though, so saved his self esteem - bet he was glad to get back to his hawks!)
