First lamb of the year spotted a couple of days ago, though judging by its size it was born before Christmas.

Hooray, I love spotting the first lambs. I saw some around Christmas time a few years ago near Redditch, but haven't seen any that early since. Lets hope it stays drier, lambs really don't thrive in the wet. They tend to die :(

My Sister in law, only put the rams in with the ewes a few weeks ago, so no lambs here for a good while. She does this to save on food costs through the winter. And also to try and miss this dreaded Shmelemburg, (sorry about the spelling), it really is a horrible disease.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.
