got the mower out this week to mow the lawn... it started first pull , with a bit of whitish oily smoke, but was running rough , down on power and after the oily exhaust smoke cleared it looked a bit blackish... only a couple of weeks since it had carb troubles so i was a bit peeved.... looked like it was running on choke... wagling the choke lever only mad it run worse, i unclipped the air filter housing which improoved matters, took out the rather oily filter element and it went as sweet as a nut...... guess when i sharpened the blade earlier in the week id tipped it enough to get engine oil into the air filter

Mower still sitting in the shed waiting for me to have enough readies to take it to the servicing place.
Not helped by my not having a car so having to scrounge a lift or get a taxi.
I`ve strimmed the grass off to keep it tidyish.
