Hello bebilja

Briggs & Stratton seamed the joint over so I don’t see how it could come apart but the actual seal is by some sort of glue. If you can get rid of the old glue, Araldite two-pack epoxy is a good substitute but is a bit thick. I put it on warm and it runs quite well, but don’t use naked flames near the tank.

Hi bebilja,

I've repaired more than one leaking fuel tank using glass fibre mat as supplied in glass fibre kits available in motor accessory shops. Of course you need to clean the area down to bare metal before applying.
