I have a Howard 700, with Villiers 28B 2 stroke engine, it should have a lodge 14mm plug, what other make and ref numbers can be used? Also does anyone know what size socket is required (inside the pull) to take off the mag cover
Thanks

You can get modern equivalent spark plugs from http://www.spark-plugs.co.uk/index.htm
The nut in the middle of the flywheel is usually a 7/8" (22mm) if that is what you mean, Villiers flywheels have a built in puller to remove them, just undo the nut give it a squirt of wd40 and keep unscrewing it when it goes tight.
There is no timing key so you will have to reset the timing when you refit it.
Give George a call at villiersparts,co.uk for parts.
