Maryn, last time I saw someone wearing proper clogs was about thirty years ago. I was in the Yorkshire Dales on holiday and this huge son of Yorksire was patching the market square in Ripon, steaming hot tar all around, and he was immune to it, just made his clogs more waterproof.
