What a lovely day I have rotavated two plots and they have dried off a treat , one plot left to do which I dug last week . Well that's another hard days work digging,it has been another lovely spring day. All the digging I done last week has dried out lovely, it will be just right for the rotavator next week to give it a good tilth ready for setting.

My two rows of winter onions look very sick, keep putting the hoe through them to let the air get to them. But my garlic is looking very well, it's up about three inches above the ground.Its up set O.H.because he has not set any this year.

I have just finished doing some digging getting ready for onions, carrots,and beetroot it has been dug since the autumn but the rain has put it down a bit solid it turned over very well, and should soon dry out with this wind we are getting.Another dry day but cloudy and windy better than rain.

I also found cabbage white caterpillar on my cauliflower which I cut this morning, I was suprised to see one this time of year,still it has been so mild.

I can tell what the difference is ,yours have been huddled up in the greenhouse all winter, mine have been set outside since last November , but we will see the end result,also beware of the deer he likes broad beans

Our plots are 10 pole, we have just had to put our rents up to £15 per plot to cover last years water bill.
