Re: Garlic experiment

Actually pa, I have noticed a drop in snails lol westi, whole cloves stems and everything. But not dug up. in fact, the skins of the cloves were left behind. Really odd. Plum - Yes she had, but she prefers to put stuff in the garden than pull it out. I've even got some photos to prove it I was off m...

Garlic experiment

Well, I'm wound up... 5 garlic plants in the garden have been eaten... I dont know what's done it, but yesterday I had 5 healthy plants, today, hollow shells where the cloves were in the ground... So I'm thinking of trying something new Has anyone grown garlic in an unheated greenhouse? Or on a wind...

Re: Its No Joke

In all seriousness, that sort of thing is alarming. There should be absolutely no excuse for that sort of foul-up. Indeed not but sadly it, and worse, happens. My uncle is an orthopedic consultant, specializing in knees. And the number of times people get sent to him to have the wrong knee replaced...

Re: Its No Joke

They are useless... They seriously are. I thought it was bad when sat in critical care I got the "would you recommend this service to family or friends" text, but that seriously takes the biscuit By the way, no I wouldn't recommend Sheffield critical care to anyone... They only let me have...

Re: Has the UK gone to pot?

I'm really confused how this has got so political. Seriously, it was a complaint about racial hate being on the rise after the referendum, and people fighting over the result. Admin, if at all possible, please lock this thread. Once I'm certain this thread is over I'll be going too for a while. Than...

I'm upset my daughter is not welcome back at her nursery because I didnt want to support the nursery in its personal leave campaign. I'm upset because for the first time in my life, I am c...

Re: Has the UK gone to pot?

Sorry pa. Normally I steer clear of political discussion on here. I'm just in such a state over the way everything's gone, and how racist people around me are getting, I needed to say something. particularly my sister not talking to me, and not being able to talk to my dad without him spouting off a...

Has the UK gone to pot?

As I'm sure everyone is aware, Thursday's vote didn't go as expected, but thats not specifically what I'm taking about. In the 2 days since, people seem to have gotten out of hand. Our great country so unified in the past seems split by the results. Today I couldn't even go buy compost at my local g...

Re: Garlic Confusion?

Pawty, that was prim with the elephant garlic, not me lol

That said, I have just dug up this odd garlic. The tops had completely died off. But the mini cloves/bulbils were lovely. So sweet and strong
