Re: Windows 10

Hello John. I have Windows 8 and I'm staying with it......I'm not a natural "techie" and like Pa Snip, I always think, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Several friends on Facebook have stated that stuff which previously worked well, is not doing as well with Windows 10. One avid gamer says ...

Would it be the "Cookware" one by any chance? I was tempted to reply by asking if they wanted it to cook their spam in....

Re: Spot the gooseberry thief!

My friend has a lovely black labrador called Charlie. When she accepted my invitation to help herself to our red gooseberries, I was a bit surprised when she asked if Charlie could come too. He's very well behaved, so I agreed. I was staggered to see him sticking his head right in amongst the thorny...

Re: Courgettes

Update!
I think the feed with liquid Growmore...and the pep talk/threats, have done the trick with my courgette plants. All but one of the four plants are now growing away and producing fruits.
The other one sulked it's way into the compost bin.....

Re: Courgettes

Me too Dear OH. I will see what happens now. I've told the sulky courgette plants that they have a fortnight to buck their ideas up, or they will be dug up and consigned to the compost. They didn't answer so, we'll see what they do......

Re: Little darlings visited....

So sorry Peter, that's awful. It's so disturbing. Our site has had quite a lot of that, the past two years and the damage they inflicted was horrendous. Poly tunnels slashed to ribbons, greenhouse glass smashed and plants uprooted, the contents of a shed emptied all over the plot, including a pot of...

Re: Planting Plan

I agree with you regarding breaking some rules Primrose. We over-wintered Early Onward peas in the greenhouse this year and had a fabulous crop, ready in March. We tried that because, the previous year, a couple of seeds must have made a bid for freedom and were growing amongst the cucumbers and I d...

Re: Courgettes

Thank you very much dear OH. The Tomorite says avoid the foliage and the liquid Gowmore doesn't say anything about that, other than the obvious one of not watering in direct sunlight. I haven't any Seaweed ones so I might try a weak solution of the Growmore and see what happens.
Kill or cure eh?
