Oh my Goodness!
I thought hubby was winding me up! Looks like
it is sick of the north and west of the county then,
and is heading for the beach - watch out IOW!
I will e-mail this bloke / group then and see what
happens.

Re: Fruit on kiwis
Hi Gallotments All my little kiwis disappeared. I still have some flowers that have dried off but no fruit behind them except for one small little blob that may or may not be a fruit. There is something eating the leaves so I expect that is the culprit but don't know what it is. There seems to be a ...

Dangerous Wildlife
Hi All Sight of the week - yesterday me running down the path being pursued (well not really but active imagination), by a swarm of wasps that I dug up planting the leeks! What with the adder and the stinging ants it seems I am creating a haven for biting things. To top it all I was down there fairl...

Re: Alls well with the world
Hi All Yep all is well - the brassicas are ready. Had two drumheads, loads of brocolli but the real thrill of the year for me - my first perfect cauliflower! It always thrills me to bits as all the old boys at lottie bemoan the fact that they don't do well on our site but (touch wood) every year I m...

Re: Potato blight
Hi All Just mentioned today if we didn't know better we would have thought our Int Kidney had blight but it is only them and all the others are right as rain, but if they had been stand alone they would be gone. Don't know what it is but they are weak and pathetic and miles behind all the other spud...

Re: Self-serving MPs
Unfortunately the press has done this topic to death which means it will loose its impact with the public who will just ignore it and it will all get swept under the carpet. I would have to say if they made the rules that easy it would be tempting, but I am in the service of serving others - as are ...

I think JS is probably re-designing it so that a
wheelbarrow will go around the paths. The
triangles looked good but perhaps he has realised
they are not practical - as informed by this
forum!

Re: Slow Squash?
Here by the beach mine are just starting to explode but mainly the squash. The courgettes are fruiting but the vine is quite small. My Runners and French Beans are rubbish though - most of my Runners haven't even started to climb and I thought my French beans seeds had been taken by mice but they ar...

Thanks Peter
Bending I shall be doing. I expect I'll recognise the
rabbit by the imprint of chicken wire on it's head!

Re: "How does your garden grow . . . "?
HI CJS
I am really envious - looks wonderful! Everything
is better and neater than mine - I blame the dogs,
work and appointments but it's down to effort and
you are obviously putting it in.
Good Luck for a Great Harvest - 1/2 way there already.

Climbing Rabbit!
Hi All Pulled up down at lottie and spotted a rabbit in the plot. Since I have sealed every possible entrance in I was surprised. Then as we sat in the car the damn thing went to the side fence and climbed over it! It is obviously getting in that way so is going to be difficult to keep out. Anyone k...

Which Feed for What
Hi All We have a division of labour on lottie. My husband is in charge of the soil and I am the planter and grower. He is also a bit compulsive about buying sacks of fertilizer and have loads in the shed. We have calcified seaweed, fish, blood and bone, 10-10-10, 6X, rose food, seaweed liquid, turbo...

Re: Campaign for supermarket tomatoes to be named by Variety
Hi Primrose
What a good idea - count me in. Although 99.9% of
them are tasteless (which is more to do with the way
they are grown I would think rather than the variety),
every now and then you get a good one. I do save the
seed of these but would be good to have a name to
go with it.
