time to scatter seed in spring depends on soil condition and weather, if its too cold for it to germinate and the grounds sodden the seed may well rot before the weather warms up. but you want to get it growing before the summer drought.... basically as soon as you feel its warm and dry enough. when...

we moved 90 year old mother in law a couple of years ago, wrote to her bank with change of address, letter came back saying her signiture didnt match the (30 year old?) one on file so they wouldnt accept the change. wanted here to go into the old branch with photo id. which she hasnt got, just moved...

we find ours tends to get a fatty residue over time if we use the low temp eco program, using the proper hot wash theres no problem at all.
we wipe fatty plates or frying pans with a bit of kitchen towel before putting them in to remove the excess grease , and use all in one tablets.

came in tonight and chucked 3 whole carrots in with the boiled spuds , by the time the spuds were done the carrots were aswel, i guess they tasted better aswel.

i have been informed by student daughter that there is research going on to find/develope another strain, aparently one of the big issues is surviving transportation, and skin colour may well be different

we roast fair sized chunks with sunday lunch. rest of week its steamed slices....as with most hard veg its a case of thinner bits cook quicker cos the heat penetrates to the middle easier. perhaps a whole carrot with a metal skewer up the middle to conduct heat in is the ideal.
