All my onions have done well this year i have about 70 red ones drying at present as well as shallots and 2 other variety of onions,i like the reds nice on salads or a cheese sandwich

Hi primrose, if you break the male flowers off that will stop them pollinating that should help you get smooth skins, although to be honest its been over 30 years since ive grown ordinary cucumbers

Last year i froze about 70 tomatoes, in packs of 6, they are no good for salads but for cooking with a knob of butter then poured on to a couple of rounds of toast for breakfast in the middle of winter takes some beating

I grew them last year , they are supposed to be the right size for fitting into kids packed lunch boxs , they have a slight nutty flavour but both my granddaughters did not llike them i thought they where ok all of mine this year succumbed to a late frost

All mine are doing well, i have 2 rows of 6 in each the first row all came from the first sowing covered with plastic bottles cut in two the second row are the second sowing as the first ones all succumbed to frost , im only growing yellow ones this year but im already suppling 3 daughters and half ...

Our council have very kindly entered our allotment into Britain in bloom again, they do this with out asking any plot holder whether they want to be involved or not ,this year the judges have asked permission to have lunch in our communal barn ,this was built by a few of us using old scaffold planks...
