If I disguise myself with loads of broom heads could i get my raging toothache sorted out? I can't find an NHS dentist and as my business is failing thanks to the floods I certainly can't afford to go private.

Yes I assume they're struggling to hunt given the miserable conditions - we're seeing a lot of the barn owl for the same reason.

fishy fishy fishy fish

The crap problem depends on which fish you use (I think) goldfish and carp being the worst.I used to work at a mill with a big tank on the roof that supplied the sprinkler system. That had huge numbers of fish to keep it clean. I did see them once flopping about in the bottom after a small fire had ...

There are an awful lot of jobbing gardeners out there who are basically failed builders who can use a mower. I really struggled to find a skilled gardener to look after the grounds of a place where I used to work, everyone who came failed the 'how would you prune a dogwood?' test (the answer is not ...

Blight?

Believe me Mike V it probably is blight. Here in Lincs very few spuds have escaped, even the conventional ones are affected as the wet weather prevented the farmers getting on to spray. Fish & Chips will be a luxury meal this winter.

House not flooded thankfully but we are facing financial ruin as everything in the ground is either rotting or dying. We have a fantastic new customer and cannot supply them with anything of our own. This was the year we should start making a bit of money and start paying off the debts, instead we w...

abject failure

So am I he only one who can't make the damn things work? It was always without fail stinky, soggy and not breaking down. I left the tap draining permanently into a bucket and still the bin seemed very wet. The worms were forever climbing out of the top. It was routinely infested with fruit flies and...
