We have had a bee-hive installed on our allotment site. One of our lady plot-holders has suggested we all plant a flowering plant to help them, what would be most suitable, obviously must be long flowering.

Told recently that if you pick the flowers off the potatoes, you will get a heavier crop, can't say I have heard this one before.

We had a similer problem some years ago, susspected ex plot holders helping themselves. Solution, change the padlock, all keys to be handed to existing plotholders only, £5 deposit for key, reufundable when vatcating plot. Problem solved.
