Been busy in the greenhouse, added some manure where the tomatoes will be growing and then added the grow rings and cane supports, you can also see the French strawberries in the pots. My dad used to make his own with leaf mould and soil from mole hills, he didn't sterilise it though and looking at some of the odd weeds that come up in my pots nor do Westmoreland either lol

I grow my onions from seed these days as I have had a couple of poor results from sets in the past, I have just transplanted some Ailsa Craig into the raised bed, strong looking plants.

My Dad always used wood ash round his raspberries in the spring, so did his Dad before him who was a commercial nurseryman. I don't make my own wood ash but I still add some potash at this time of year.

20cm or 8 inches across, very impressive, we have a few different young plants most of which have flower buds this year, first time flowering on this plant.

I intend to have some plants that will spill over the rocks to soften the edge and hide the liner, the water will still come up a few more inches as it's not up to the overflow level yet.

Quite a bit more work done around the pond today, using the excess pond liner hanging over the edges, I have created some bog plant areas. If you imagine a letter M shape, I have made a trench and the folded in the liner still connected to the main pond, then back filled with soil for the boggy marg...
