As far as digital TV, I'm waiting for HDI TV to be sorted and buy complete with digital.. current systems are a half way hodge podge (and expensive for poor quality vision imo)

My plain steel base was covered in alumium primer then a layer of wax based car underseal.. some 22 years ago when installed. Hence no electrolytic corrosion between house alumium and base (requires inspection and touch up every 3-5 years,, :-)

I remove cow manure from the adjoining field and compost it. Often it is full of brandling worms.. so I assume they live in the soil and feed on concentration sof dead plant matter . All 5 of my compost heaps/bins have brandling worms. None were introduced from outside. So I assume they occur natura...

Nuclear and coal fired plants do not stop generation when peopl go to bed. That's why Economy 7 tariffs exist: to encourage use in off peak periods. So what does ...

>ciderboys I do NOT suggest home generation is ever going to replace power stations BUT there is a small place for it in a THINKING power policy. Better be prepared for blackouts in the next 5-7 years because our current electricty generation is creaking at the seams and falling apart . It takes 10 ...

There is another alternative: home generation - from a variety of means - solar, water and wind. In many other countries it makes economic sense because you can sell surplus power which is not used to the Local Electricity Company. In the UK, however, whilst you can do this, the price you get is - u...

I shred them first by making piles of them and runover with a rotary mover. then when I put them on the compost heap I add layers (well just jumbled up messes) of green vegetation - often shredded using the mower as th leaves. th...

Our soil is quite heavy: clay at about 2 feet down: drains quite well but if you sieve the top soil you find .5cm diameter balls of clay. Since we moved here 20 odd years ago, I have adopted a no digging approach to flower and fruit gardens. I spread compost on soil in winter /early spring , remove ...

Place loads in pile on lawn and run over with rotary mower.. reduces volume and ensures they rot down quicker.
Onto compost heap for a year...
