Re: Max/Min Thermometer.
I have one that is max/min both dye and digital with a reset button. I've had it a few years, bought it from Wilkinson's and they still sell them.

Re: Early Spring Bits and Bobs
We lost our magnolia stellata too Primrose, there are a few white flowers left low down, but most are burnt. The camelia has been mullered by the frost as well. Lots of golden brown damaged flowers, but I'm hoping that in a few days, once the weather starts to warm a little, if I shake the tree the ...

Re: Radishes
I've just read that if you keep them in a bowl of iced water, in the fridge, and leave their tops on, they will stay super crunchy for a couple of days.
Still no clue how the supermarkets do it, gas them perhaps?

Re: Radishes
Hi Pontersman, I don't know what the supermarkets do, but I put my radishes with their roots in a little water and they stay crunchy for a few days.

Re: Late Winter Bits and Bobs.
If you think a Porche is over compensating, you should see the Maclaren parked beside my parent's house! It belongs to a new neighbour and I have to turn around next to it whenever I drop stuff off. Not funny in icy weather. I'm really not into cars, but I can't imagine what my insurance would say i...

Re: Has anyone got a deep-filled pie maker?
My mum has got back to me to say she "doesn't get on with it and hasn't used it in a long time". However, she knows someone who uses one a lot. Sorry, that's no help at all!
Personally, I agree with Monika.

Re: Vitamin D
I use a Vitamin D spray, which came from Holland & Barrett and lives in the fridge. One spray on the tongue daily.
It's not something I did before last year as I'm outside every day, but I had to do something to stop my family nagging me and I could see no harm.

Re: King Seed Supplies
Suttons and Dobies are one, as are Marshalls and Unwins.
I buy from Dobies rather than Suttons if possible. More seeds, much cheaper and the packets are plain rather than having pretty pictures.

Re: Late Winter Bits and Bobs.
Hi Monika, I grow from seed too. I always found them less prone to bolting, until last year, when they were bolting all over the place.

Re: Late Winter Bits and Bobs.
I'm hopeful for this year. All my seed orders arrived a while ago. I was concerned about seed availability because of Covid, so ordered way earlier than usual. I'm trying a Tuscan kale called Yukon this year. It's much shorter than Nero di Toscana so should be easier to net. I've also ordered a goos...

Re: The typewriter for hair
I'm lucky as having long hair I can pull it in a ponytail over the top of my head, bend over so I can see it in front of me and cut an inch or two off. Hasn't failed yet and I have to be honest, I don't need lockdown to do this... I do always remember to put the kitchen scissors in the dishwasher af...
