Is your a supermarket one Cazz61 as I had same problem last year.
This year I brought 3 off potatoes from Bulgaria £3.90 free p&p.
The one on the right is 3 weeks old the one on the left is 1 week.
Temperature is around 26 degrees.
Fingers crossed they perform well.

Have done similar in green house with toms, chillies & peppers in ground with shelves full of lettuce, basil other small pants being sown or growing on ready for planting out. After seeing local garden centre grow strawberry in grow bags on stilts gave me the idea of perhaps doing same around ed...

Know you are tight on space how about putting water butt underground them slab on top for pots or if you don't fancy digging make wooden frame to fit slab. Use bilge pump attached to hose pipe for getting water out.
