Re: Magazine subscription
Yes mine arrived today.
Also in the mail was my seed order from the Real seed company.
The real seed company used paper/cardboard the magazine used plastic.
In this age of plastic is bad news perhaps magazine company could look at using brown paper envelopes (without windows).

Interesting point on rechargeable battery, never knew that and been using my tools all week although not sub zero.
On a side note I dropped my drill in water a while ago and it packed up, took it home gave it a good shake to get rid on water then used hairdrier on it all been ok since.

Re: January Jobs?
"Are you opening a fish and chip shop, Colin? Or a crisp factory?" Looks that way Monika... main reason is half the new plot has been cultivated and been under plastic since November. Read somewhere it good to start off with spuds so with being able buy them singularly I’m using the opport...

Wonder how many catalogues can go in the compost bin?
I too am buying from high street shops this year more to save on the postage and being able to see what I am buying.

A college brought some instant lottery tickets to enclose with Christmas cards for his special customers. Unfortunately his curiosity got the better of him so he checked them out himself.

Re: Spacing
Hi Sally, What an interesting explanation. Thank you. Do wonder if manufactures instructions should be updated, to reflect modern conditions. Last year I planted 24 spuds (calculator said 8/10) in the 3 x 10 ft bed and covered with straw, very easy to harvest by pulling up and no major slug damage. ...

Thank you all for your input...Thought Jethro Tull was a group from 60/70 (Lol) and never heard of Turnip Townsend (real name?), so thank you for the history lesson. To me the space left for walking/hoeing etc is wasted growing ground. I send a lot of time/effort in preparing so want to see stuff gr...
