Then you have to move the lever down to the 'go' position to start mowing. Well, the engine starts first time but when I put the lever t...

Don`t like being called a 'townie'.
Feels like being sneered at.
OH and I moved from the village because we had to work and can`t get back because our suburban semi won`t fetch enough to get us a village house nowadays.
Oversensitive? Maybe.......
I`ll get me coat...............

Re: Rich Londoners with second homes rule the rooster! OK?
What a good idea OH! My other half and I moved to the suburbs to be near work but promised ourselves that we`d move back to the village when we retired. Unfortunately, when that happened the amount our suburban semi would fetch would just about get us a garden shed in Wiltshire (his home county). Wh...

A not-uncommon story this!
My sister lives in a small rural village where the incomers have complained about the honking of the Canada geese flying into a nearby lake. (and the church bells of a Sunday morning.)

Oh dear - oh dear - oh dear!
I thought at first that it was a spoof article.
I don`t understand it but I instinctively fear it.
Perhaps I`m a techno-dinosaur or a scientific-luddite or something,
Oh dear-oh dear-oh dear

Thank you - that sounds like a good idea!
I thought that the leaves had to be under a certain amount of pressure to give forth the good stuff. Wrong again!

Comfrey
Good morning, I have two comfrey questions that I hope you clever folks can answer. 1) My comfrey is now about 18inches tall and bushy. Can I cut it now? How many times a season can I cut it? 2) I make 'dry tea' from my comfrey, that is, I pack a container tightly with leaves and collect the black l...

Strawberries
I`m moving my strawberry bed to a new spot on the plot. I potted the runners which a thriving and burgeoning in pots and the new bed is cleared and ready. Do I put the new plants in now or keep them in the pots until spring? If so, they`re growing away really well with big leaves around eight inches...
