Just pulled up two + buckets worth of spuds from raised beds. Seems some on the outside/corners spuds have been got at, any idea what?

Grew lettuce couple years back and just used the leaves I wanted. The ones in the ground took over so ended up using whole plant, found that the plastic mushroom baskets were ideal.
Thinking of doing planing a couple Kale in the ground (not basket) this year.

In the past tried growing slips from shop brought potato without success. Got "3x ORGANIC tuber Japanese White Flesh Sweet Potato for slips" off ebay from Bulgaria. At £3.90 including postage thought I had nothing to loose. These were still producing slips well into June, should have keep ...

Corn on Cobb looking good apart from that has been eaten at the bottom, could that be from rabbits?

I grew them in buckets last year not a major success got loads of roots and few small potatoes.
This year am growing them in a cold frame, they seem happy at the moment.

Seem to remember seeing a tomato grower in Kent on tv that had 15 trusses which had to be picked using something like a cherry picker to get at the top.

For water pumping I use a bilge pump & old 12v battery.
For power tools it Bosch 18volt.

I put a similar tank on the end of my 5 compost bays to collect the water. Used to carry couple of watering cans from the tape to the plot then had idea... Now use large plastic rubbish bin in wheel barrow which I fill up from tap using bucket, the wheel it onto the plot and decant it using watering...
