Re: Late Winter Bits and Bobs.

Drizzle today but persistent, but couldn't go down to the plot as waiting parts to come in to replace the wing mirror that got trashed by some git in the forest going too fast & actually undertook us! It is single lanes on the shortcuts, but with no holiday makers folk seem to forget the 20mph i...

Re: Late Winter Bits and Bobs.

Sorry to see your post Primrose, I would probably be putting one or two under my jumper as I keep & use some very useless pots that come with memories of the giver. Now & again I do a big cull of plastic pots which is a lot easier now as the Garden Centre has a drop off point & it's righ...

Re: Late Winter Bits and Bobs.

Lovely day down at the plot, no rain, no wind, sun shining although a little light cloud on & off & not particularly cold. Tunnel was 12.7C with both doors open & was 27C when I opened it up. The channels are working around the soggy beds, the beds are still quite wet but certainly bette...

Re: Late Winter Bits and Bobs.

It must be getting closer to spring as Plum Beauty is now in flower, mind it has been slightly earlier! I haven't seen the little bees around since the blossoms opened but they were around earlier just as it was breaking bud. I left them a little feed of the caramel from the Yum Yum I bought down &a...

Re: What is the right charger?

Good idea OH!

I will do a search & find which hardware is selling them. I did see one for a silly £29.99 while scrolling, that would be a bargain!

Re: What is the right charger?

The plot thickens! I did not find the charger in the shed, but interestingly the charger is also missing from the old girlie drill which was definitely in the hard case it came in as it has a slot & I definitely recall packing it away so could be a back up if needed & I even wrapped the case...

Re: Late Winter Bits and Bobs.

I've done it again. I just can't say no! I am now the owner of a free bag of onion sets that came in a neighbours order. Not needed as I have 70 baby plants from seed all up & looking OK but.....these are supposed to big ones, (name alludes me just to be unhelpful)! I was pleased with last years...

Re: What is the right charger?

Not successful chasing B&D re: the charger, but I have found a site that sells them; but at over £30. The house has been turned upside down so I think I am pretty assured it is not at home. I also ruled out accidentally throwing it away as the actual plug into the socket is attached not another ...

Re: Large seed potatoes

Welcome to the forum Fernside! I have done this in the past, I just kept them whole while chitting but when ready for planting out I just made sure there was shared eyes/chits between each slice. They grew fine without any drying out but it was a while ago when the weather was more predictable, so u...

Re: Late Winter Bits and Bobs.

Just watched Country File & a bit confused about the weather as they are so indecisive they are using models of other countries tracking our weather fronts end of the week. From what I can assess it will either snow up North, in Wales & the Midlands or down South - or not! Back to looking ou...

Re: What is the right charger?

Cheers Geoff & OH! I will contact B&D to confirm as obviously that model is discontinued, but think the cheaper option would be do get a new drill, or rather request one for my birthday! You almost know that the minute you order a new one the charger will turn up! :) AKA sod's law! Think it ...

As retropants says, just leave them. Mine were damaged which is why I cut them.
