Re: Where Did My Water Go?

If it's the elephant I want its poo...Do not think it's a human issue more likely to be knackered butt.

There are 3 in series so will move them around.

Been boasting that all this rain will fill my barrels up.

There is a ditch behind my plot so thinking of using the bilge pump to fill them up.

Went to plot for stock up on veg for tea, thought I would see how full my water butts were, as we have had a bit? of rain of late. Took lid off shock/horror it only had couple of inches of water with level at least 2 inches below tap outlet. Tilted butt to see if tap was on or leaking, not on/no lea...

Re: Early Spring Bits and Bobs.

I contacted Yorkshire tea after hearing of plastic in teabags at a composting lecture couple years back.

They replied that they use plastic to seal them but are working to use a different method in future, not sure of current situation.

Changing Recipe Servings

Brown cauliflower

I planted 10 cauliflowers plants ones has good white head two have brown head others look like cabbages.

As they were part of a package 10 x each Cauliflower/cabbage/Kale/Broccoli I suspect I got more cabbage plants instead of cauliflower but wonder what has caused the brown head any ideas?

Re: Plastics in the food chain

I am at a loss over the chemical’s in food chain concern. Perhaps we should not be growing in the earth but use hydroponics’ instead? But then what about contaminates in the water that we do not know about. I questioned my self over my use of plastic whilst on the plot yesterday. I use plastic trays...
