now I'm really confused!
If adding teabags reduces the acidity then by definition the pH will rise.
How can it be possible to reduce the acidity and the pH at the same time?

um - blueberries, pieris, heathers and the other ericaceous plants require an acid environment, therefore if tea bags reduce the acidity in the soil this would be counterproductive, would it not?

I can't bear the thought that they do all that buzzing, and pollinating, and loveliness, and then we steal their food. It seems really mean, somehow :(

what a fab idea!
I want to know what I can do with mine (Twinings Assam, by the way!).
I fear that my worms might very well get bored with the amount of tea bags they get fed, but I can't bear the thought of wasting them. Given I don't have the room for a compost bin, what can I do with them?

We used to live on the North Yorkshire moors and I have vivid memories of Mama living in Damart thermal stuff from October through to April!
