i think i will shy away from the plastic i will try using broad sheet newspaper as a ground cover and planting through it.if i mulch it with compost i would need enough for 48 meters to cover the four beds.i might have enough for one bed so i will try mulching one bed with compost an compare the res...

i was given cuttings of a bio mass willow I was told it can grow up to 9 feet a year. could i use it to make a willow arch or dome etc, or could I let it grow into trees

it makes since what you both are saying i will get 2 of the above varieties and look froward to smaller cabbages. if i plant them closer together this will help to keep them small in size

thanks primrose for replying now i know i am not alone .i gave half my plants a liquid lime feed .i did this because you could have soil that has a lot of organic matter added to it but if the pH is to low the plants cannot absorb the nutrients this is what the tutor at the college said so i will le...
