They mainly look great to me - is that 24 hours light?
The tomatoes might be running out of food - are they in seed compost or multipurpose? Mot sure about the peppers, strange effect.

Having visited my wife in hospital 3 times this week I was encouraged that it wasn't as oppressively hot as I remember hospitals. Is this a general trend, has the NHS realized it spends a fortune on excess heating energy?

I don't get aphids on MGL either. Sown in root trainers in heated greenhouse today (scar down, thanks JB), will harden off in cold greenhouse and plant out about 10th April with a bit of protection to start with. She gets a flush through every year but there's always the danger that too much flushing may unbung a hole and cause a bigger problem.

Me too (under lights) for heated greenhouse. It's all very well waiting but what happens, first spell of good weather in the late Spring / early Summer and you are buying salad - no way, might be grotty plants but they are yours! I have lettuce, radish, cress and rocket coming too.

I think a bell round the neck is the best solution - if you can get to a church being demolished about 5lbs should do the trick.

The last couple of years Albion from Wallis Seeds have done well for me. Gladiator is another option. I tend to sow quite late, around 20th April, as I have had better results.
