What a shame you all missed it.

Hi OH,
I've just found it for you again. Don't lose it this time

Hi Chantal,

Excellent read that :)
I think the last one was actually trampled to death by hordes of Kitchen Garden forum members with wheelbarrows

Perhap's they were dwarf beans. They just look bigger in a window box

Hi Steve,

I use the Growing Success organic pellets.

I'm not sure if these are the same as the ones that Sarah uses, but have the same effect, in that the slugs go off somewhere else to die :)

Hi Mel Darke,

Hopefully it isn't anything to worry about.
The old leaves on mine yellowed and died off, but the plants are doing fine with lots of healthy leaves, and the first courgette should be picked next week :)

Hi Primrose,

Sorry to hear that. If you have had the amount of rain that we've had this last week, I should think a combination of lower temperatures and very wet conditions done for them.

Hi all, Just like to say that I absolutely love starlings. They're such characters, I could watch them for hours. I have a large roofed bird table with 4 hanging feeders from it. Also a fat ball holder hanging from the peanut holder. The starlings mainly go for the fatballs, and argue the toss over ...

Oh dear!

I haven't bothered with them this year, but I am looking after my neighbour's greenhouse at the moment, and he planted one in there before his holiday. It is just sitting there sulking. I just hope it is still alive when he gets back on saturday.

Hi Catherine,

We've had rain pretty much all day today. The watercress is growing well anyhow :) I was going to plant some more climbing french beans out today, but it was just too wet. Hopefully it will be drier tomorrow, but I'm not counting on it. How's your cucumber doing?

Hi Catherine,

This weather is really crazy isn't it. I looked at the 5 day forecast and the wind was from a completely different direction and speed each day. At the moment it is very calm with hazy sunshine.

Another night of heavy rain and a thunderstorm thrown in as well about 1.30am. My poor old dog is petrefied of thunder and fireworks, so I was up with him for a couple of hours  Lovely bright and sunny morning though.
