Re: Late Winter Bits and Bobs.
I've sowed aubergine, peppers, cabbage, lettuce, carrots & cucumbers (the wrong ones, so I'll have to re-do them!) this week, and tomatoes next week if I have time. The first aubergine sowing from last month are up and strong - I've popped them under a grow light in the dining room, so they have...

I’ve seen the Billy Connolly show where he describes what happens with this exact drink. . Glad it’s all over and done with Robo.

You are a busy bee Westi! I managed to pot up some bare root Cornus, did a bit of garden tidying and cut some huge stems off the spiny stemmed palm that overhangs the path to the garage, my DH keeps suggesting we get rid of it!

Re: Late Winter Bits and Bobs.
I don't dig anymore, but the worms are beginning to take the top layer of manure down into the soil, leaving their casts on the surface. I also try not to walk on it too much, it's only a small patch. It looks pretty soggy! I've got my aubergine seeds now, so I can get them going in the heated propo...

Re: Late Winter Bits and Bobs.
I repotted my column apple tree ‘Lord Derby’ yesterday and scrubbed and disinfected the strawberry buckets ready for planting the new stock, which are currently soaking in water. I’ll need some more topsoil for them, as I only have one bag left, and that won’t do for 6 buckets! I had an infestation ...

Visited West Dean gardens today. My niece volunteers there, and she showed us what she’s been up to! Must go back in the spring.
