They are a strange old Veg. They put out massice roots but if the roots get waterloged they get the hump and dont produce crowns. I am on clay and have to dig woen as far as I can. then back fill with gravel to keep the roots dry.

We havn't got that many poor people round here to necissatate and Lidl and an Aldi's we just have the Lidl....but there is a Netto near Bromley. I always forget at Lidl that you dont get a bag or that they don't take Credit cards I end up having to do what my mum used to do in Sainsburys get them to...

I do not take drugs. It was my normal Diamond White with a dash of Brasso. Emmm. Harold and I were up the allotment today and had to stand in the shed like a sentury at Buck house cos it was raining so much. I may have to break the hosepipe ban to pump the excess water out of my Runner bean trench.

Goats are good, but I prefer the tried and tested metod Small boy with flame thrower. I got him one of those caniser gas burners from Lidl and he loves it. I am just glad there are no Hay stacks in our area.

Also how long was the water boiled for and was the temprature measured. When we had a pub the Envirmental Health used to come round every 3 months and they had a "plastic" block that they used to test the Microwaves door seals with, it used to glow in microwaaves they userd to put the unit...

Also that article in the mail said that the hosepipe ban on allotments was suspect and very grey. And would only be sorted out in court. Our society are taking a legal view on it. I will let you know the outcome

The drilling derrics are on a trailer and towed behind a 4x4. all they are a an A frame and a motor that rotates the bit. they screw on 12fl lengths of "bit" as it goes down. They have been using them round here for ages. There is usually two men with it.
