Allen, that last one hits a bit too close to home. Since my cat, who is female, one bit one of my testicles. That resulted in an embarrassing a&e trip, and 3 highly uncomfortable stiches

My one this year is red kale... Russian red to be precise. Dont get me wrong, I love the stuff, but its taken over a massive section of the bed, and suffocated most of by broccoli lol

Thanks plum I've got an offer for a nuc of some very docile and none swarmy bees. But end of the day, swarms do happen, so its just a case of keeping ontop of them and splitting / requeening when needed I buy all my honey from the Sheffield honey company, so I don't think I could go back to shop bou...

my guess would be its not popular enough for the set growers to make a good profit. Sad really, I've decided after this year to go back to sets, and I wont get anything like the same variaty as I'm growing this year... But I'll get more than the 1 or 2 of each type that will actually survive my negl...

Hi guys,

I'm looking at taking up bee keeping, both for therapeutic value, and pollination. Bonus honey would be nice too

I've done my research and started building a long deep topbar hive

I just wondered if anyone on her has any advice? Since you lot are nicer than the beekeepingforum.co.uk lot

Well this is a new one on me. I've got a serious infestation of leaf miner ... In the weeds... Ok more information, the patio area has some broad leaved weeds growing in the cracks... While pulling them today, I noticed the leaf miners... So I having crushed all the ones I could see, I went to check...
