I'm with you on that one Lizzie. This new forum is fantastic and so much improved on the old one. No disrespect, the old one did it's job but times have changed. I particularly like being able to PM people and subsequently meet, exchange addresses/phone numbers etc with no fear of all and sundry pic...

So is your project now VERY late? I filled in your questionnaire on 13 January when you only had a couple of days to go and that was 12 days ago. Have you still not finished it?

Thanks Val

Having met Piglet the thought of him in the frost hugging a plum tree is something to be treasured. :D

Hi Pachyderm

If you have a look in Best Practice there is some info about chitting potatoes that was posted recently and may help you.

What's more, this is exactly the same message and survey from the same student. (See Cooking Tips). I answered the survey first time around but I suspect the projec...

Tie them to the fence or build a playpen would be my recommendation! I had a child on my allotment a couple of years ago who dug a very large hole and then filled it in. As the soil was very loose when I stepped in it I went down about a foot and nearly broke my leg. I hurt myself quite badly and th...

I saw on TV this morning that during the first 19 days of January we had only 8 hours of sunshine! It was so lovely for the last 3 days it really lifted my spirits and then today, back into the gloom again. Roll on Spring, I am one SAD person under the cloud. :(

Allan

If you bothered to look at the first posting you would realise that Mandy has asked for advice because she's never grown comfrey before, so superior remarks like that are less than helpful.

It's gone, for now...

A massive clear out of the outhouse has taken place, there is nothing in there now, including a mouse. We didn't find it, although there were several pantries, but it's definitely not there and nowhere else to hide. I put a piece of cheese out last night as a test and it's not been touched, so I am ...
