Re: Over 60's hair cut rate:)

PP I have never looked at anything at all before so today was a bit of a suprise. I just thought that because I can't have my Pension until 2018 I can't claim anything else so I will now look into other stuff.

Re: Black Friday

We never go shopping on days like this. Though I must say we got a bargain today which was unexpected. Two days ago we booked a holiday cottage, through the owner, the cottage is also available through an agency at a more expensive price due to their booking fee. Today the agency, who we have used b...

Re: Over 60's hair cut rate:)

John, I have wished so many times that I had the nerve to go to a mens barbers to get the cut I wanted. In our village we have approximately 8 or 9 hairdressers in our village. Some of them charge £40 to £50 for a cut and blow dry. I have tried almost all of them and they don't listen to what you wa...

Re: Blocking unwanted emails - Help please!!

Hi Dan thank you for your offer. I have attempted to send them every time to my block senders domain name and block sender. Every single time I do it the next day it arrives again. Yet when I block other unwanted emails "viagra etc" they stop. The company is called National Inkjets and the...

Re: Food unwrapped

Half a chocolate pizza. Ooherr dont fancy that at all. Though must say I don't eat chocolate, biscuits, cake or stuff like that. I do like to eat cheese, plain and nuts. We like Aldi Pizza Tomato, mozzarella and Pesto and Italian meat pizza very very occasionally and they are very good. We normally ...

Re: Christmas Gift Lists

Dan I think that is the way to go. I always make our Christmas meal sometime during the two weeks depending on when my family are available. Full two roast meats and all the trimmings. We love it but soon everyone will be too grown up to come to us and we will be on our own. In which case we will go ...

Re: Doctor's striking?

I don't know about hospitals, Westi, getting an appointment with our doctor is difficult in the extreme. We ring, we get the receptionist, who asks why you want to see the doctor!! Then you have to tell her and then you have to be triaged to the Nurse Practitioner who decides if you can see the Doct...

Re: Electric hedge trimmers

The best hedge trimmer we have ever bought, Monika, was from Aldi. It is a telescopic hedge trimmer with all sorts of bits and pieces and cost £59. It is electric but we have a huge extension so it isn't a problem for us. Definatley worth looking for one from Aldi, very good quality.
